Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 29, 2026

SwiftSorta is operated by Marcus Pettice ("we", "us"). SwiftSorta sorts your Gmail inbox by adding labels. This policy explains what data we access, how we use it, who receives it, and your choices. Contact: support@swiftsorta.com.

What we access

How we use it

We use this data only to provide the sorting feature you asked for: deciding which label fits each message and adding that label. We do not use your data for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not use it to build profiles or to train general-purpose AI models.

What SwiftSorta does and does not do to your mailbox

SwiftSorta only adds and removes its own labels. It never deletes, archives, trashes, marks as spam or sends email, and it never removes messages from your inbox.

What we store

We do not store the full text of your emails. Message text is used while a message is being classified and is not kept in our records.

Who receives your data

To classify messages, the sender, subject and a short portion of each message's text are sent to our AI provider, Anthropic, through its commercial API. Anthropic processes it to return the classification. Under Anthropic's published terms, commercial API inputs and outputs are not used to train its models by default, and are deleted from its systems within 30 days, except where longer retention is needed to enforce its usage policy, comply with the law, or under terms agreed separately. We do not control Anthropic's systems; see Anthropic's data retention page. Payments are handled by our payment processor, Stripe (which may act as the seller of record through Link), which receives your payment details and email address under its own privacy policy; we do not see or store your card number. We do not share your data with anyone else, except if required by law or with your consent.

Google API Services User Data Policy

SwiftSorta's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Security

We protect authorization tokens with encryption and restrict access to them. Email text is handled transiently. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure.
